In the last post I have told you about how to submit a site to Google. After submitting your blog to google you need to submit your sitemap to google so that google can index your page quickly. Sitemaps are a way to tell search engines about pages on your site.Sitemap help search engines to find how many pages & posts you have in your site.By sitemap search engines can know how many URLs you have in your site/blog that may not be discoverable by normal crawling process.To discover the images,video or any dynamic content of your site search engines need the sitemap of your site.Now let's see how to submit your sitemap actually your blogmap.
Submitting your sitemap to Google :
To submit your sitemap to google you need to sign in to your google webmaster account.You can sign in from HERE or simply google it.
After signing in you will come to your webmaster tool's homepage where you can see your submitted & verified blog to google.Click on your blog.
Then you will see the dashboard.Here you will find Submit a Sitemap just right below.Click on it.For better understanding see the photo.
After clicking you will come to the page where you can submit your sitemap.
Now you need to create your sitemap.To create your sitemap go to http://ctrlq.org/blogger/ . Enter the URL of your blog in the gap.And click on create blogger sitemap
After clicking you will see three options below.The first option will be containing a URL and named For Google.Copy the link/code.
Then back to your google webmaster page where you can submit your sitemap.Click on submit a sitemap button.A pop up window will come.Here paste the copied link/code of your sitemap created in http://ctrlq.org/blogger/ .Then click on submit.
After clicking on submit you will got the submitted page where you can see that your sitemap is submitted.See the status.It may take some minutes.Reload the page and you will see the tick mark in status.
