Alexa is one of the famous and leading web statistics engines. It compares how much traffic websites are getting on the internet. It also ranks sites based on traffic. Such as Google is 1st as Alexa traffic rank, Facebook is the 2nd. YouTube is 3rd and so on.The official site of Alexa is www.alexa.com.I am going to show you how to submit your site/blog to Alexa.
Alexa said : "There are a few reasons that Alexa may not have visited your site.
Perhaps your site is new or we haven't discovered any links on the web that lead to your site. Or perhaps we haven't had any Alexa users visit your site. It is also possible that your web site administrator has disallowed crawlers from visiting your site - please read the information about robots.txt that we have provided above."
The easiest way to submit your site to Alexa is you or someone browse your site with the Alexa toolbar integrated browser.You can download the toolbar from www.alexa.com/toolbar.
If you are having a problem with it you can manually submit it. Let's see how to do.
Login to Alexa.com or register for free.Go to dashboard. Here you find add a site button in the middle right of the page.Click on it.
If you want to submit your site free then click on the first one's sign up.Then enter your website URL in the gap.Click on Continue.
You will now go to verification page.Blogger do not support uploading file to your blog.So choose the 2nd one. Copy the 2nd one from the box example : "<meta name="alexaVerifyID" content="cDbXbeFzcZZ94SMMi_0MjgWjvLA" />". This is my example. Do not copy this.Copy yours. See photo below for better understanding.
Now go to your blogger dashboard. Click on your blog's design.You will go to a new page.
In this page you find Edit HTML in the top of the page.Click on it. In this page you will see some code in a box.Back up your template.Click to Expand Template Widget.Find <head> by pressing Ctrl+F.You need to paste the verification code below <head> tag.
Paste the code below <head> tag.Then save your template.See the photo below for better understanding.
Now go to the Alexa verification page & click on Verify my ID below.
You will the dialogue "Your site is successfully claimed" below.Now click on continue and fill the form with valid information.Then click on save & continue.
Now you are successfully submitted & verified your site to Alexa. Go to your dashboard and you will see your site.You can also submit your other sites. Just follow the above & you will be done.
