Don’t add more than that because Google will crawl around 150 words.

When putting your description try to add your keywords there because Google care the keywords in the description too. There is an example below.
Look at this photo. I searched in Google with the keywords “blogging mistakes”. In result Google showed me this website and the keyword was highlighted in the description.
